The West Slope Pinot Noir is sourced from our Carneros Estate’s oldest vines, planted in 1990, of Donum clone Pinot Noir. The vines of this western-facing slope receive ample sunshine in the afternoon, yielding rich, ripe fruit full of depth and intensity. To fully extract the thicker skins of our Donum clone Pinot Noir, the cap is punched down frequently during fermentation. After 16 months in French oak, we select only the best barrels to represent the pinnacle of this vineyard block.
