Our Hypersonic Pinot Noir is sourced from a southern block of our Donum Vineyard, planted to Mt. Eden clone in 2016 for its gentle slope and western-facing aspect. First bottled as a single-block reserve wine in 2021, Hypersonic reflects the exceptional character of this site and clone. Its name was inspired by the vineyard block’s location between Doug Aitken’s 'Sonic Mountain' and 'Vertical Panorama Pavilion' by Studio Other Spaces, as well as a musical composition by Yang Bao from his Hyperdrive album, created for the pavilion's debut. The musical nature of these works resonates with the harmony and vibrancy found in this wine.
