Our Russian River Valley Reserve Pinot Noir is the best barrel selection from our Winside Vineyard, planted in 1997. Over the past 20 years, we have developed an intimate knowledge of these vineyard blocks and have found that several of these blocks are close enough in pedigree that the quality of a given vintage comes down to the unpredictable factors of the growing conditions and fermentations of a year. For this reason, when to selecting the blend for the Russian River Valley Reserve, we maintain an open mind and allow the wine in barrel to dictate the final blend.
