The Donum Estate defines a place
and a project.

Our "ultimate pinot noir project" is based on a Burgundian grand cru model, with the goal of producing the finest pinot noir and chardonnay.

Vineyards are living, complex, ever-evolving systems. Our experience with the land spans decades, yet we continue to learn as we strive for more profound fruit expression from each block, row and vine.

As our art collection evolves within the estate, we further appreciate the significance of a work in progress. The interplay between our wine production and art collection expresses beauty through a singular sense of place.

The Donum Estate is owned by three European friends who share a passion for wine and art.

Vision

In 2001, Anne Moller-Racke set out to make the best Pinot Noir from our Carneros vineyard. The heart of this pursuit has always encompassed the entire journey from vine to bottle. Our exploration has evolved with the addition of acreage as well as two other sites: our Winside Vineyard in Russian River and Angel Camp in Anderson Valley. Today, Donum is recognized as one of California’s top pinot noir producers. Our quest to craft complete, beautiful, site- specific wines from our estate vineyards continues throughout each vintage.

Vineyards

At the Donum Estate, we farm four vineyards. The Donum Vineyard and Lawler Vineyard are located on gently rolling hills rising up from San Pablo Bay in Carneros. To the northwest, in the heart of Russian River Valley, is Winside Vineyard; and further north, in the deep of Anderson Valley, is Angel Camp Vineyard.
